ACS relay for life
I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that I have given in to Susan Haberkon's request to take up the Advocacy chair position in this years Relay for Life. Yes when I first came to town I was involved with the relay and soon dropped out because I saw it as just another money maker for Big Pharma and I still believe that. I have chosen to rejoin in this program because as I re-read their mission statement, this is what they listed first "eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer". In my mind that does not include drugs and sounds just like the Chiro lifestyle and this prevention never seems to be addressed in these relays, so my intention, is to speak for Prevention: Life Style Changes, Diet, exercise, meditation. My request is for all the other " Alternatives", man I hate that label, to jump in and help educate our community.

ADHD zinc deficiency
I am begining to like this blogging, so much to say, but my fingers can't seem to keep up with my brain.
But how do I get it out to my community and get feedback?
We are working out some more tech dificulties so I was not able to load todays article, should be up soon.
The article is about ADHD children and noted Zinc deficiencies.
So they compared food logs of kids w/ and w/o ADHD, but they only compared total Carbs, protien, and fat comsumed, not what they actually ate. From this they leaped to the unfortunate conclusion that kids w/ ADHA don't eat inordinate amoutns of junk food they just inherently have zinc deficiencies? Do you get that there is a huge difference between 20 carbs from a dorito chip and 20 carbs from a stalk of brocolli? so their answer was to give more zinc supplements, instead of addressing a whole food diet? What do you think?

HFCS
Autism, Mercury, and High Fructose Corn Syrup
This referenced paper was in January's American Clinical Chiropractic Journal. Written by Dan Murphy, DC— Private Practice of Chiropractic; Diplomate American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedist; Faculty Life Chiropractic College West; Vice President ICA 2003-2009; ICA Chiropractor of the Year 2009is article was in January's.
What he has brought to light is yet another source of the nuero toxin mercury. The commercials on TV are a lie, there is nothing healthy about HFCS. It does not get processed in the body as other sugars, it goes straight to the liver and becomes a triglyceride, and now we find out they have added mercury as a preservative just as in vaccinations.

Introduction
Good morning,
It is Monday Feb, 22nd and I am jumping into the blogger arena. I was looking for a way to get out more health issue info to my community and I did not think my monthly newsletter was getting the job done so I am starting the big bloggers learning curve in hopes of stimulating some conversations about health. More to come
