taking care of yourself

WELCOME to MyRadicalSelfCare.Com and the Radical Self Care Vision.

September, 2011. Our physical, mental, emotional, spiritual bodies all function best with enough sleep. We can become exhausted on any of these levels. Assess yourself.
• Are you on high alert most of the time?
• Is your blood pressure high?
• Is your nervous system in fight, flight or freeze? • What is your natural re-action to daily events?
If you are not sure, ask a friend.

Do your best to observe yourself – it’s the first step in moving beyond a de-structive behavior.
Start with identifying a red flag: some feeling that is an early warning sign for you. Do you talk a lot? Or perhaps you stop talking completely. What is it for you?
Each of us has an option beyond flight, flight or freeze, it's allowance. That’s right, allow what is. Perhaps even stand back, before speaking or acting, watch for a bit. Discern: is this something that 1. applies to me and 2. is essential for me to influence?

Once you identify the situation, you have a few choices: You can change the situation, change yourself - your own reaction, move away from the situation, or become part of it. BTW, being part of it is not the same as going along when it does not feel right for you. There is rarely a good reason to be part of something that is not healthy for you. (I can’t think of one right now.)

Friction between your inner and your outer - visible only to you, or upset on the outside - visible to many, is harmful and even dangerous. It causes your body to produce cortisol. It makes acid blood. It lowers your frequency and your voltage. It can keep you awake at night, even when you know you feel tired. Skin issues of various kinds manifest as skin is the barrier between your inner and your outer. It can even close your heart, as a mis-guided form of self- protect.

Indeed, we have many “protective” measures that have an opposite reaction. In fact, when there is nothing to protect, when we could be choosing flow, those old responses attract that which we fear or about which we are most concerned.
Energy goes where attention flows.
It’s the Law of Attraction in action. It’s a law.

Being in flow will absolutely contribute to a refreshing sleep. Being in flow means letting go of muscle tension, releasing blame and judgments, surrendering to the Flow… the one.

So wake up, pay attention to what is going on in your environment. If it’s past stuff, stop worrying and blaming. Forgiveness is a huge step forward. Hawaii Forgiveness Project meets monthly on the second Friday of each month. Sign up for the newsletter. Please join us. Learn to forgive. Start with yourself.

Commit to your personal Radical Self Care . Prepare to be amazed! As you value yourself more and more those addictions and bad behaviors start to disappear. You can, you will, change old habits as soon as you are ready and willing.

Wake up (to whom you are and what you came here to share)…so you can sleep soundly at night.
